Industrial design suits best for lofts and old flats. It is easier to achieve a rough effect in old spaces with a visible sing of time. Industrial interior should combine past elements with modern  pieces. It should be illusion of a luxurious warehouse. 

Industrial interior essentials : 

Colouring - neutrals and earth tones warm up the roughness. A hint of pure white introduces a feeling of cleanliness and elegance.

Rough walls - don't bother to smooth out the walls with gypsum. Expose old brick walls or paint the walls with  paint that imitates concrete. 

Wooden or concrete floor is the best option. There is a huge choice of slabs which imitate concrete. If you have old wooden floor, just  sand it down and paint with transparent paint. 

When you have chosen walls and floor, it's time for furniture. Opt for big leather sofas and armchairs ( the effect of worn leather ties the look of industrial space).Try to convert old metal industrial pieces into coffee table legs or lamps.

- a big piece of art: a big painting or a metal industrial sculpture 

- visible pipes in silver or copper colour

- metal pendant  lightening, expose bulbs in your lamps

-  a surprising transformation ( give new life to old items)
