Books not only disclose your interests and passions, but they also have decorative functions. They are great, if you want to introduce colour and texture. However, you can't choose random books, if you want to achieve elegant effect.
Books should match the colour scheme of your room. Opt for two or three colours max. Consider carefully where you want to place the books to avoid visual clutter and chaos. They look good on coffee tables and consoles.
Group them from big to small ones, they have to look neat and organised. Books of size 30x40 or 20x30 cm will suit almost every space at your home. On bookshelves create variation, put some books in horizontal position and other in vertical.
Place some small decorative items ( a box, a vase or a picture next to books ), it will fill the arrangement.
